The JH Worship Leader directs our junior high worship ministry at FFC. This individual will work closely with staff and volunteers to lead Christ-centered, engaging, and authentic worship experiences in our JH services.

Job Description:

The JH Worship Leader directs our junior high worship ministry at FFC. This individual will work closely with staff and volunteers to lead Christ-centered, engaging, and authentic worship experiences in our JH services. We are looking for someone who loves connecting with JH students, who is passionate about worship, and who enjoys developing and discipling student musicians.

This is a part-time, temporary, hourly position (non-exempt) working approximately 15-20 hours per week. Required hours include Wednesday nights from 3:30-8:30. The other hours can be scheduled with flexibility during the week. The JH Worship Director is a part of the Worship Ministry Team and the Student Ministry team and reports to the Pastor of Worship Ministries.

Compensation

  • Opportunities for mentoring with First Free staff.
  • Lead worship (and rehearsals) for our JH services on Wednesday nights.
  • Develop and disciple student volunteers (band and vocalists) to help them grow as worship leaders. Meet with students 1-1 or in small groups for training during the week.
  • Plan creative, engaging, energetic worship services for JH students.
  • Schedule worship team volunteers in Planning Center (training provided).
  • Build Ableton sessions for JH worship services (training provided).
  • Build lyrics for JH services in Pro-Presenter (training provided).
  • Meet regularly with Worship and Student Ministry staff for ministry planning, team development, and personal growth.
  • Collaborate with FFC Technical Ministry staff to oversee the technical needs of the
    ministry.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Experience leading worship for youth services.
  • Skill, experience, and prior training as a vocalist, instrumentalist, and worship leader.
  • Experience with Ableton, Pro-Presenter, and Planning Center is beneficial.
