Job Description:

The Maintenance Engineer’s primary responsibility is maintaining an optimal space for the disciple-making activities that take place on our campus. This includes evaluating maintenance needs and performing needed maintenance tasks.

This position is a full-time, hourly position of approximately 40 hours per week. The Maintenance Engineer is part of the Facilities team and reports directly to the Facilities Manager.

  • Evaluate church property for maintenance needs on a regular basis.
  • Perform preventative maintenance on buildings, including HVAC, structural needs, electrical systems, and plumbing.
  • Work with the Facilities Manager to plan and carry out building and equipment improvements and upgrades.
  • Work with outside vendors as needed to meet maintenance and improvement needs.
  • Maintain church property, to include: HVAC, building maintenance, landscaping projects.
  • Check in with departments on a regular basis to ascertain facility needs.
  • Help to train new people in overall maintenance skills.
  • Work with volunteers to guide them on projects and to make sure they are working safely.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Experience in Building maintenance, HVAC, and electrical systems
  • Physically able to lift, climb, and perform needed tasks both indoors and outdoors.
