The On Mission Outreach Conference featuring Dr. Michael Goheen will be held at First Free Church March 7-8, 2025.
Participants will be equipped and challenged to find their place in God’s redemptive mission. Through biblical teaching and strategic conversations, we will become more effective in sharing God’s love in both everyday and extraordinary situations.
Meals and refreshments are included. The cost is $30 per person.
**While our hope is that you attend the full conference, we understand that may not be possible for everyone. If you can’t join us for both days, you have the option to register for either Friday or Saturday individually. If you can attend both, please select both options when registering.

How to Neighbor
Ryan and Shannon Potter will lead a discussion on intentionally building meaningful relationships with your neighbors to reflect God’s love in your community. This workshop will provide biblical encouragement, practical tools, and creative ideas to help you connect with those around you, fostering authentic friendships that open doors for sharing the hope of Christ. Join us to discover how small acts of kindness and intentional outreach can make a significant impact right where you live.
God’s Global Mission
Matt and Jess will lead a discussion exploring how you can meaningfully spread God’s love to people in other nations. This workshop will inspire and equip participants with biblical perspectives on global missions, practical ways to get involved, and stories of impact from around the world.
Welcoming Immigrants and Refugees
Alex McLain will lead this session, exploring several meaningful ways Christians can welcome immigrants and refugees through the biblical principles of love, hospitality, and justice. He will also discuss how prayer, proximity, and patience are crucial elements to engaging these fellow image-bearers, in a way that honors Christ.
Dr. Michael Goheen began his professional life as a church planter and pastor in the Toronto area. He taught worldview studies, biblical theology, and missiology for over two decades at Dordt College, Redeemer University College, Trinity Western University, Regent College, Calvin Theological Seminary, and Covenant Seminary. For most of that time, he also held part-time pastoral and preaching positions in local congregations.
He splits his time between Vancouver, Canada, and Phoenix, Arizona, where he teaches and directs the theological education program at the Missional Training Center (MTC), an extension site of Calvin Seminary. He also spends time each year in Brazil and Chile training pastoral leaders.
Mike has authored, co-authored, or edited thirteen books, including The Church and Its Vocation: Lesslie Newbigin’s Missional Ecclesiology (Baker, 2018), Introducing Christian Mission Today: Scripture, History, and Issues (IVP, 2014), and A Light to the Nations: The Missional Church and the Biblical Story (Baker, 2011).
Mike has been married to Marnie since 1979. They have four children and eleven grandchildren.
