Safety Exercise

One of First Free’s distinctive values is Love is a Verb, which means that we need to put love into action. One of the ways we do this in our church is by ensuring the safety of our people.

We’re excited about our annual staff and volunteer safety exercise on August 12th – we will get to see our plans in (simulated) action, identify any areas that need additional attention, and then celebrate with a picnic!

We have been working hard to create plans for any emergency situations that could occur on our campus on Sunday mornings (or Wednesday evenings, during events, etc), and we’ve been training our ministry leaders and volunteers on the proper procedures. Actually running through our plans (like a fire drill) will help us be ready to act should an emergency situation ever occur.

This is a family-friendly event – even if your spouse and kids don’t serve (yet) they can come and be role players! And families are absolutely welcome at the volunteer appreciation picnic – we’ll have a fire truck for kids to explore, yard games, and, of course, free food!

Please sign up below so we know how much food to get! And please encourage others in your ministry to sign up to attend. Plans don’t work if they aren’t practiced!
